When Kate, a Utah-based wedding photographer, approached me, she was looking to legitimize her business with a professional online presence. At that time, she had no established branding. To develop a brand that truly reflected her unique style, I created a detailed questionnaire that guided Kate through defining her brand voice, mission statement, and core values. With this insight, I crafted a comprehensive brand guide, selecting fonts, colors, and a tone of voice that perfectly aligned with her artistic flair and personal style. The result was a brand identity that was not only professional but also deeply personal—capturing the essence of Kate’s personality and her artistic approach to photography.

Inspired by Kate’s youthful, artistic energy and the magazine-like quality of her work, I designed a website that positioned her photography as the focal point. The website’s design mirrors the style of a high-end magazine, ensuring that each photograph she captures is displayed as a piece of art. My goal was to create a digital space that felt natural, simple, and effortlessly cool—just like Kate herself. The site is clean and minimal, with intuitive navigation that allows visitors to immerse themselves in her work without distractions. Short, impactful copy was used throughout the site to ensure that her photography remained the hero.

Beyond the initial design, I focused on making the website highly functional and user-friendly. Understanding the importance of keeping her portfolio up to date, I built the site in a way that allows Kate to easily upload and showcase her latest work. The backend is designed for simplicity, so Kate can manage updates on her own without any technical hassle. This ensures that her website always reflects her current projects and evolving style, helping to maintain a fresh and relevant online presence that continues to attract new clients.
